Arium ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Habit Data: Titles, notes, completion dates, and streaks for your habits
• User Preferences: Theme selections, language preferences, notification settings
• Premium Status: Purchase information (handled by Apple, we only receive confirmation)

Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, iOS version (for crash reporting and compatibility)
• Usage Data: App launch times, feature usage (anonymous, for improving the app)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Arium app functionality
• Sync your data across your devices (if you enable iCloud)
• Send you notifications and reminders (if you enable them)
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Process premium purchases through Apple's In-App Purchase system

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All your habit data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage
• Data is encrypted using iOS built-in encryption

iCloud Storage (Optional)

• If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account
• We use Apple's CloudKit framework with end-to-end encryption
• Only you can access your iCloud data through your Apple ID

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

• StoreKit: For processing premium purchases (Apple's privacy policy applies)
• CloudKit: For optional iCloud sync (Apple's privacy policy applies)
• WidgetKit & WatchConnectivity: For widgets and Apple Watch sync (data stays within your Apple ecosystem)
• HealthKit: For optional health data integration (requires explicit permission)

AI Habit Creation (Premium, Optional)

If you use the "Create with AI" feature (premium-only), the short text you enter is sent to our serverless proxy and to Google's Gemini API to generate a habit suggestion. Specifically:

• What is sent: Only the text you type into the AI input field (max 200 characters) and your app language preference. No habit history, no name, no email, no device identifier.
• Where it goes: A Cloudflare Workers proxy we operate, which forwards the text to Google Gemini and returns the structured suggestion to your device.
• Storage: We do not store your input. Cloudflare may retain transient request logs for up to 7 days for abuse prevention. Google's data handling for the Gemini API is governed by their API Terms.
• Opt-out: This feature is entirely optional. You can use Arium without ever using the AI button — every other feature, including standard habit creation, runs fully on-device.

No Other Third Parties

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Export: Export your data in JSON or CSV format (Settings → Export Data)
• Delete: Delete all your data (Settings → Clear All Habits)
• Opt-Out: Disable iCloud sync at any time (Settings → iCloud Sync)

Children's Privacy

Arium is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under GDPR:

• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
